
Customer Service Representative

The purpose of this position is to provide customer service through telephone or direct contact and perform clerical functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responds to telephone or UNICOM inquiries for a variety of information.
Assists customers by obtaining information or records, responding to inquiries, directing visitors to proper department, and scheduling appointments.
Prepares, verifies, and balances a variety of routine logs and reports.
Performs office duties by filing, typing, sorting and delivering messages and packages and ensuring proper supply inventory and equipment functioning.
Documents customer information from the general public regarding complaints, service requests, commendations, surveys, and general inquiries.
Supplemental Functions
Performs other similar duties as required.
Job Specifications and Qualifications Knowledge
Customer service principles and practices;
Modern office equipment;
Basic mathematical concepts.
Licensing and Certifications
None Required.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Positions in this class require: standing, fine dexterity, walking, lifting, carrying, sitting, reaching, handling, kneeling, vision, bending, crouching, hearing, twisting, talking.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly AND/OR walking or standing to a significant degree.
Incumbents may be subjected to extreme temperature, wetness and/or humidity, noise and vibrations.
Some weekends, holidays and overnights required. This will be a 12 hour shift that can be scheduled within 6am-midnight.
