Outside Machinist with Line Bore experience
for field-based industrial work. This position requires hands‑on machining skills in the field — not just shop work. You’ll be repairing worn bores, alignments, and heavy equipment components on‑site in industrial environments. Responsibilities
Perform line boring operations on heavy equipment and industrial machinery Set up and align portable machining equipment Repair bearing housings and worn components Read blueprints and mechanical drawings Perform precision measurements and adjustments Work in field environments (plant sites, industrial facilities, etc.) Maintain strict safety compliance Qualifications
3+ years machining experience Proven line boring experience (required) Ability to set up and operate portable line boring equipment Experience with heavy industrial equipment Ability to travel if required Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Preferred
Experience as an Outside Machinist in shipyard, refinery, or heavy industry Millwright background TWIC card (if applicable to region) OSHA 10 or 30 This role is for someone who can show up to a plant, set up, and get it done without hand‑holding.
