
Position Summary
Senior Product Analyst leads and contributes to the efforts of reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating clinical informatics system and user needs. They often rely on many years of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Senior Product Analysts work on visible and complex efforts. They must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment under limited supervision. The Senior Product Analyst collaborates with team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the IT solution meets requirements. Senior Prod Analysts are independent, innovative, self‑managing individuals with the ability to succeed with only general directions while communicating project status to key team members. Works with other key project team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the IT solutions meet the business needs and requirements
Responsibilities
Defines requirements and ensures specific requirements are met and approved by users where critical to project results and timetable. Identifies opportunities to improve existing processes. Applies critical thinking skills to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and to make timely, informed decisions.
Ability to take responsibility for MEDITECH modules, working to become a subject matter expert that leads effort in issue resolution and enhancement requests
Manages expectations of customers by ensuring a common understanding of what is needed, associated risks and expected delivery/resolution.
Servers as a mentor to others within the department.
Can maneuver through complex political situations effectively; anticipates obstacles and plans his/her approach accordingly.
Possesses proven track record. Effectively manages customer expectations through establishing relationships and transparent communications.
Demonstrates high level of expertise in a variety of Clinical concepts, practices and procedures
Elicits and documents business, user, functional and non‑functional requirements. Creates deliverables independently or through BA team and manages approvals.
Analyzes current or potential business processes and reviews existing information systems to identify opportunities for improvement
Develops maps and flowcharts of business processes (current and future state)
Designs and implements reports, maps/flowcharts, and screen layouts to improve business processes and workflow
Provides coaching, technical, functional guidance on specific BA project deliverables.
Provides expertise in process design and provides leadership in communicating requirements to product development, testing, and education/training.
Identifies impact to other solutions or projects and works with other BAs and stakeholders to identify options and recommendations.
Ability to multi‑task, given various assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks
Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals
Performs detailed analysis and evaluations on current/future state and documents conclusions and recommendations.
Works with all departments throughout product life cycle to ensure project dates are met and ensures timely completion of BA deliverables.
Provides hands‑on technical leadership for the analysis, implementation and support of MEDITECH interfaces for both MEDITECH Magic and Expanse utilizing HL7/XML interfaces.
Works independently and with key project team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve issues, and ensure the IT solution meets requirements and meets business objectives.
Author and analyze MEDITECH PWR requests ensuring specifications are clearly documented and submitted.
Collaborate with business owners and the facilities to define requirements and solutions
Analyze business requirements to design, architect, develop and implement highly efficient, highly scalable solutions.
Builds positive relationships with business operations, IT&S leadership, and vendors
Provide routine support and maintenance for current production applications as assigned
Provides training junior level members on the integrations and interoperability team regarding interface specifications, dataflow, and related functionality.
Provides subject matter expertise and leadership through exemplifying and fostering excellent technical skills.
Address and provide operational support as needed and On‑call responsibilities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred
Ability to create Visio Diagrams
Ability to create Excel pivot tables
Product Analyst, Data analysis, workflow/process improvement
Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Microsoft Visio
Metastorm BPM and SharePoint experience preferred
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma Methodologies preferred
Prefer past experience in a clinical setting related to Physician applications
Prefer experience with MEDITECH clinical documentation applications
Strong relationship management skills
Experience at working both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Highly motivated and able to work independently with general supervision
Sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative
