
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Mortgage Cash Specialist to join a dynamic credit union team onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for a mortgage servicing professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can quickly make an impact! In this two‑month contract role, you will play a critical part in supporting mortgage servicing operations by ensuring payments, payoffs, and loan transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
What You’ll Do:
Process and post mortgage loan payments and payoffs received via mail, wire, ACH, lockbox, and online channels
Reconcile daily posting batches and deposits to ensure accuracy and balance
Manage escrow payments, corporate advances, suspense postings, refunds, adjustments, and charge‑offs
Handle returned payments and prepare notifications
Research and resolve inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Identify process improvements and collaborate with internal partners to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
What We’re Looking For:
Associate’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience
3–5 years of mortgage servicing experience, preferably in cash processing or operations
Strong knowledge of loan servicing systems and payment processing procedures
Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail and strong PC skills, including spreadsheets
Clear, professional communication skills and a commitment to delivering five‑star service
