
Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional will support the General Manager and Head Golf Professsional in all aspects of golf operations while helping deliver an exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, highly motivated, and a self-starter who thrives in a close-knit, community-oriented club environment.
Experience Required
PGA of America Member in good standing.
Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Class A Assistant Golf Professional.
PGM graduate or college degree preferred.
Ability to teach both beginners and advanced golfers.
Strong knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf and their application.
Experience with Golf Genius tournament software.
Practical knowledge of golf equipment, club repair, and golf operations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Creative, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager and Head Professional with an active member tournament schedule.
Support tournament set-up and operations for Men's, Women's, and Couples league.
Assist with junior golf programming, clinics, and individual instruction.
Provide general club repair duties (or demonstrate a willingness to learn).
Assist with club fitting and maintain strong product knowledge.
Handle merchandise receiving, processing, and merchandising.
Operate the POS system and assist members with purchases, returns, an special orders.
Perform daily bag room duties, including cleaning clubs, lifting 30+ lbs., and assembling push carts and electric walking carts.
Assist with training, supervising, and motivating bag room staff.
Uphold club policies, service standards, and the traditions of AAGOC.
Benefits
Base Salary: $35,000 to $45,000.
100% lesson revenue.
