Responsibilities
Conduct discreet surveillance in our store environment to detect and prevent losses.
Perform internal and external investigations, reporting findings to stakeholders and apprehending individuals involved in illegal activities.
Adhere to all relevant laws and company policies in all your duties.
Conduct security checks and offer recommendations to prevent losses and enhance profitability.
Collaborate with law enforcement and prepare case reports for criminal prosecution.
Identify issues affecting shrink, safety, and profitability through regular audits and proactive communication.
Act as a liaison to develop effective solutions for reducing waste within your district.
Compile detailed reports on all asset protection activities.
Support the district asset protection manager in executing various initiatives.
Implement and ensure the effectiveness of store-level asset protection strategies.
Assist in internal and external investigations as required.
Testify in court and labor hearings on behalf of the company when necessary.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Evaluate the functionality of security equipment during store visits.
Willingness to travel as needed and maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally challenging environment.
Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner.
Handle customer and business information with the utmost honesty and integrity.
Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct engagement.
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service aptitude is essential.
Proven history of professionalism and integrity.
Aptitude for effectively defusing confrontational situations.
Bachelor's Degree.
1+ years of experience in retail asset protection.
Experience overseeing asset protection across multiple locations.
Operational knowledge of CCTV systems.
