A well-established educational nonprofit organization is seeking a senior‑level Director of Development & Project Management to lead donor relations initiatives while overseeing fundraising‑related projects and processes. This role sits at the top of the development function and works closely with fundraising staff to strengthen donor relationships, track donor progress, and ensure fundraising goals are met. The position requires both strategic leadership and hands‑on involvement to support a growing development team.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead and spearhead donor relations initiatives and development projects
Oversee fundraising‑related project management and timelines
Support and guide fundraisers in donor engagement and follow‑up efforts
Track donor progress and ensure fundraising targets are achieved
Provide oversight and leadership to fundraisers and project managers
Step in hands‑on when additional support or guidance is needed
Build strong internal processes and foster a collaborative development team
Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, or development leadership
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience overseeing teams and multiple initiatives
Highly organized, proactive, and strategic
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build systems, processes, and long‑term donor strategies
Salary:
$100k - $150k/Year
