Position Overview: The Sales & Event Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing strategic sales opportunities. This role leads the sales process from prospecting to closing to detailing, while fostering strong client relationships and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic action plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times. Quick and timely responses to all calls, emails, and leads.
Prospect, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across assigned markets or segments.
Manage and grow existing and new client accounts through relationship building and upselling opportunities.
Conduct high-level negotiations, prepare proposals, and close complex sales agreements.
Detail groups and events to the clients’ specifications.
Maintain accurate information and revenues in appropriate databases at all times.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Attend all BEO meetings and other departmental meetings set forth by GM or DOSM.
Work closely with all operational departments to facilitate seamless execution.
Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Product/Service teams to ensure client needs are met.
Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
Any other duties or activities set forth by the GM or DOSM.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
3 - 5+ years of proven sales experience.
Experience with properties of equivalent size and quality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of CI/TY Sales system preferred.
Wear professional attire and always represent the property to the best of your ability.
Willingness to travel as required.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
High level of business acumen and strategic thinking.
Maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, is regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events.
This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. Generally, working in an office setting with minimal adverse exposure to environmental hazards.
