Job Description: We are looking for a strong, flexible communicator to join our Global Communications & Brand team as a supervisor. In this role, you will lead clear, timely internal and external communications that support enterprise priorities, with a focus on HR and operations topics, for UPS employees, company leaders and key external audiences. You’ll work on communications planning, developing People Led strategy messages, editing content and prioritizing employee engagement and development.

Key responsibilities

Strategy development:

Develop global HR and operations communication strategies that align with enterprise priorities and protect UPS’s brand.

Plain-language messaging:

Turn complex HR and operational information into clear, straightforward messages and actions for current and future employees and retirees.

Enterprise-wide collaboration:

Collaborate with communicators worldwide and with HR, Operations, Health & Safety, Legal and other functional leaders to align messaging, timing and delivery.

Measurement and improvement:

Track engagement and feedback, identify what works and recommend improvements to reduce confusion and increase understanding.

Project leadership:

Manage multiple projects at once and coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

Communications experience:

Background in communications. Previous experience with HR topics such as compensation, benefits, health and safety, wellness, mental health or operational/network changes in a global organization is a plus.

Writing skills:

Strong writer who can modify writing style based on audience and channel. For example, uses straightforward language in talking points used with hourly employees and insight-driven summaries with business impact for executive briefings.

Collaborative partner:

Works confidently and effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

Reputation-focused mindset:

Strong sense of responsibility for building trust and protecting the UPS brand.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Business or related field.

3 - 5 years of communications experience.

Excellent judgment, discretion and stakeholder management.

Must be based in Atlanta, GA, or willing to relocate.

This role is on-site, and expected to report in person.
