In this pivotal role, you will serve as a regional subject matter expert for legislative projects across the US and Canada. You will lead initiatives to enhance content workflows, ensuring compliance with global editorial standards and user needs. Contributing to the modernization of legislative processes, you will harness your expertise in AI and technology to drive efficiency and innovation within the team. Your analytical skills will be vital in guiding legislative content toward strategic goals and optimizing operational practices.

Accountabilities

Act as the primary SME for legislation across North America and Canada, maintaining deep knowledge of local frameworks.

Advise on authoritative sources, acquisition models, and jurisdictional nuances with the Legislation editorial team.

Define content acquisition requirements to ensure reliable source coverage aligned with global standards.

Provide expert guidance on conversion rules, data modeling, and publication workflows.

Develop and implement a content strategy for each jurisdiction, aligned with customer needs and global product roadmaps.

Identify new legislative opportunities and improvements in coverage to enhance market competitiveness.

Translate legislative and editorial requirements into actionable backlogs and user stories.

Lead the definition of editorial requirements for CMSs, tooling, workflows, and data structures.

Produce high-quality editorial effort estimates for various activities associated with legislative content.

Identify scope risks, constraints, and delivery dependencies early and communicate them clearly.

Collaborate with teams to optimize tooling ecosystems and ensure efficient editorial workflows.

Requirements

Law degree (or equivalent) with practice experience in legislative or regulatory work (desirable).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal research, editorial roles, or legislative content management.

Proven ability to lead agile ceremonies and apply agile methodologies.

Demonstrated AI fluency and practical experience with AI tools and automation in editorial workflows.

Strong understanding of legislative frameworks in the specialist jurisdiction.
