This role focuses on building long-term client relationships, delivering tailored risk management solutions, and collaborating with internal service teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, develop, and close new commercial insurance business across targeted industriesBuild and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, and strategic outreachConduct client needs assessments and risk analysis to recommend appropriate coverage solutionsDesign, negotiate, and present commercial insurance programs including:General LiabilityPropertyWorkers’ CompensationCommercial AutoUmbrella / ExcessProfessional Liability (E&O) and specialty coveragesWork closely with account managers and marketing teams to prepare submissions, proposals, and renewalsMaintain ongoing relationships with clients, providing policy reviews, coverage recommendations, and risk mitigation strategiesCollaborate with carrier partners to negotiate pricing, coverage terms, and placement optionsMeet or exceed individual production, revenue, and retention goalsEnsure compliance with all carrier, agency, and regulatory requirementsStay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, and market conditionsQualificationsActive Property & Casualty insurance license (state-specific)3+ years of commercial insurance sales or related experience (brokerage or agency preferred)Proven track record of new business development and revenue growthStrong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principlesExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong time-management skillsProficiency with agency management systems and CRM tools (e.g., Epic, Applied, AMS, Salesforce)Preferred QualificationsExperience in middle-market or specialty commercial accountsProfessional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or ARMInterested in hearing more?
