About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Group Director Local Activation to lead local broadcast investment and team operations. The successful candidate will be a seasoned broadcast media professional with over 10 years of experience in local TV and radio, adept at building and managing high-level relationships with station networks, publishers, and investment partners. This role requires a confident leader who is a skilled negotiator, particularly for complex media deals, and is comfortable collaborating with agency teams and senior industry leaders. Knowledge of both local and national media buying is essential, with experience in barter being a plus.
As the VP, Group Director Local Activation, you will be responsible for directing the strategy and execution of local TV and radio campaigns, leading and mentoring the local broadcast team, and ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client objectives. Success in this role is defined by the ability to drive impactful campaigns, maintain trusted relationships with TV and radio partners, and shape strategic insights that influence client decisions. The ideal candidate will also be involved in overseeing reporting, analytics, and campaign stewardship, as well as partnering with operations leadership on process improvements and automation to ensure the department operates efficiently and is recognized as a leader in local broadcast execution.
