Account Executive
opening. The primary role is to pursue and capture new business opportunities in the assigned region or market segment, promoting profitability in alignment with corporate goals. The AE will establish productive relationships with decision makers and influencers, achieve sales and financial objectives, and provide senior management with competitive intelligence and market trends.
Essential Functions
Identify and qualify potential customers through marketing data, networking, and cold‑calling to create new pipeline opportunities.
Conduct market analyses to understand customer needs, trends, and competitive offerings, then develop a personal territory plan to penetrate new accounts across Acute, ASC, Alternate‑Site, and Government classes of trade.
Execute the territory plan to close new business in alignment with short‑term and long‑term sales and profitability objectives.
Build strong relationships with customers, GPOs, and vendors to collaborate on sales growth initiatives.
Partner with the Inside Sales team to support new customers after their initial on‑ramp and for all quoting, pricing, and CRM activities.
Provide timely communication of performance management aspects, including goals, progress, and year‑end results as directed by Sales Leadership.
Effectively and transparently communicate with Regional Directors and VP of Sales regarding successes, challenges, opportunities, and trends.
Travel up to 75% of the time.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry in a Sales and/or Business Development role.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills; ability to speak in front of large groups.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Professional selling skills or demonstrated experience and results.
Understanding of performance management principles.
Thorough understanding of supply chain principles and the healthcare industry.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate and present to key stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to cultivate relationships that lead to selling new solutions, programs, or services.
Ability to juggle multiple account management projects while maintaining attention to detail.
Willingness to travel within assigned geography.
Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
Work Location
Residency required within the State of Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, or Louisiana.
Position is fully remote.
