Retail Chain Account Manager – How You Will Create Impact & Growth You will have full ownership over national and regional retail chain expansion, with the autonomy to build something meaningful and the upside to match.
You will:
Personally secure mandates and authorizations with national and regional retail chain accounts
Proactively prospect, call on, and engage chain buyers and category managers with national and regional retail chains
Lead and own the RFP process from initial conversation through finalist positioning and close
Develop and execute chain account strategies using an 80/20 approach focused on the highest impact opportunities
Present the wine portfolio and negotiate shelf placement, features, displays, and promotional programs
Drive meetings with retail chains and bring internal leadership into active opportunities at the right time
Coordinate closely with distributor key account managers while personally owning outcomes and accountability
Monitor store-level execution and compliance with approved mandates and authorizations
Track performance, pipeline, meetings, and revenue using Excel-driven reporting and analysis
Retail Chain Account Manager – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
Proven experience selling into national or regional retail chain accounts (ex: Costco, Total Wine, etc)
Demonstrated ability to lead or support the retail chain RFP process
Category management expertise with a fact-based selling approach that also creates buzz
Expert-level Excel skills for RFPs, pricing, presentations, and reporting
Entrepreneurial, hands‑on mindset with comfort operating in lean, fast-moving environments
Willingness to roll up sleeves and own initiatives end‑to‑end, from strategy through execution
Bias toward action and problem‑solving, able to move quickly and effectively even in the absence of perfect information or established processes
Strong desire to be part of an industry-disrupting brand and help challenge traditional ways of doing business
Retail Chain Account Manager – Benefits for You Your compensation will be a base salary plus incentive compensation based on monthly revenue produced.
Total OTE planned $150,000 to $200,000 +.
Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 per year
