We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented communicator to join the Workplace and Operations PR team, helping translate business priorities into clear, engaging stories across earned, owned, and paid channels. Working closely with business and program partners, this role helps build and scale high-impact initiatives that support Amazon’s reputation. The ideal candidate can work independently and cross-functionally, builds trust with employees at all levels, and turns their experiences into compelling content. They are a strong project manager, comfortable navigating complexity, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.

Key Job Responsibilities

Support executive social and external storytelling, including drafting posts, talking points, and background materials

Help translate complex initiatives into clear narratives grounded in customer, employee, and real-world impact

Assist with planning and execution of proactive storytelling moments, including profiles, events, and interviews

Project manage high-impact programs, events and initiatives across time zones

Partner with PR, social, and internal teams to align messaging across key moments and milestones

Track performance and engagement to help refine messaging and cadence over time

Provide counsel to cross-functional teams on narrative approaches, messaging, and content best practices

Help manage third-party agencies or vendors to support video production, editing, and multimedia content creation

Act as a utility player across the Workplace team to support other activities and projects as needed

A Day in the Life Internal stakeholders include Amazon’s COO, Amazon’s Chief Technologist, Head of Transportation, Head of Workplace and more. Day to day will vary, but may include media relations, messaging development, social media posts, organizing large scale events/programs, exec visibility, awards and rankings and more. As a cross-functional generalist, you’ll help shape high-profile communications that support Amazon’s workplace reputation. Through strong partnerships and thoughtful execution, you’ll showcase how Amazon is innovating for customers, employees, and communities.

About the Team Our unified communications organization focuses on Amazon’s Workplace and demonstrating we’re a Good Employer. Our objectives are twofold: 1) we aim to improve our reputation as a Good Employer and 2) we prioritize maintaining a direct relationship with our employees. Collectively, our global team of communications professionals spans 16 countries. Together, we focus on influencing and communicating with our two primary audiences: employees (and their circles) and Opinion Elites (OEs). Through integrated campaigns, strategic storytelling, and multi-channel engagement, we strengthen Amazon’s reputation as a Good Employer, while building trust with our employees.

Basic Qualifications

5 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in professional communications or public relations

4 years of content creation or similar experience

Experience working with global cross-functional teams

Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in software development and experience in managing and troubleshooting network

Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)

Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities and experience in technical support

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
