
Taylor Community is seeking a dynamic, creative, and compassionate Director of Resident Life to lead and elevate our resident engagement programs for our Independent Residents. The Director of Resident Life designs and implements a robust activity program for Independent Residents centered around three key pillars: Cultural, Educational, and Social experiences. In addition, this position provides leadership oversight for activity programming in Assisted Living and Nursing, ensuring engaging, meaningful opportunities for all residents. This role is a member of the Leadership Team and plays an integral part in fostering a connected, enriching community environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive activity program for Independent Residents focused on cultural, educational, and social enrichment.
Develop and manage the budget for Independent Resident activities.
Oversee and manage the activity budget, schedule, and staffing for Assisted Living and Nursing programs.
Serve as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Leadership Team.
Attend and support Resident Council meetings for Assisted Living and Nursing.
Serve as Volunteer Coordinator, cultivating meaningful volunteer engagement opportunities.
Act as staff liaison to the Taylor Community Chorus.
Foster strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners to enhance overall resident life.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, Gerontology, or related field preferred.
Experience in senior living, long-term care, or community programming required.
Demonstrated leadership, budgeting, and team management experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to design engaging and inclusive programs.
Passion for enhancing quality of life for older adults.
