
Our client, an A+ rated global carrier is looking for a Regional Business Development Executive for their Texas territory. This is an individual contributor responsible for driving profitable growth and retention of specialty commercial insurance products. The role involves developing new business, managing key broker relationships, and supporting client retention.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities with larger local, regional, and national firms across multiple lines of business (EB, Cyber, Energy, Property).
Develop strong relationships across both retail and wholesale distribution channels.
Manage the full new business sales cycle: pipeline development, qualification, proposal delivery, and binding of key accounts.
Coordinate with underwriting to structure solutions aligned with appetite and profitability targets.
Manage renewals for existing accounts within the assigned territory.
Monitor production metrics and contribute to regional sales reporting and forecasting.
Partner with underwriting, claims, marketing, and product teams to deliver a coordinated client experience.
Share market feedback and competitive intelligence to support continuous product and service improvement.
Participate in internal planning, pipeline reviews, and cross-functional sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing preferred.
10+ years of professional experience in the Property & Casualty or Surplus Line industries with a focus on commercial property.
Consultative selling and presentation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with larger local, regional, and national retail and wholesale brokerages.
Working remotely from Dallas or Houston.
