Position Overview Our Southeast Property & Buildings business is expanding, and we’re looking for a
New Graduate Low-Voltage Technology Designer / Electrical Engineer
to join our dynamic team. This is your chance to work on innovative projects that shape the future of smart buildings and connected environments. This position will be based in one of the following offices:
Chantilly, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC . You’ll gain hands‑on experience designing cutting‑edge low‑voltage systems, including electronic security systems, ICT infrastructure, audiovisual solutions, and wireless technologies. From concept design to construction closeout, you’ll learn the full architectural design lifecycle while collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver creative, client‑focused solutions.
As part of our team, you’ll receive mentorship from senior designers, develop technical drawings and specifications, and contribute to projects that make a real impact on communities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships using relevant sales or client systems.
Complete engineering tasks from concept design through construction closeout including development of construction drawings (riser, line, network, plan, RCP, schedules, wall fields, etc.), specifications, and cost estimates.
Work collaboratively with clients, architects, engineers, designers, and consultants.
Provide creative, innovative and project-specific solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities.
Be mentored by a senior designer to build your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering a plus
General knowledge of Autodesk Revit required, 1+ years experience a plus
General knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD a plus
Good oral and written communication skills
Working well within team structures and an ability to collaborate with technical teammates
Good time management, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to multitask
US Citizenship required
Limited travel outside of the Washington D.C. area anticipated but may be deemed necessary by project
Benefits

Paid time off – PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service

Salary Range: $72,420 - $85,000 based on experience and location.
