
Director of Youth and Family Ministries - Mt. Auburn Church

Position Purpose
The Director of Youth and Family Ministries oversees the youth ministry strategy of Mount Auburn Church, Inc. This will require the ability to align staff, recruit youth and adult leaders, and gather parental support to work together to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness throughout the world.
Core Responsibilities
Modeling Biblical Priorities:
Represent a growing personal relationship with Christ.
Model a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable).
Set appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.
Supporting the ministries of Mount Auburn Church, Inc. by faithfully giving.
Leadership:
Responsible for attracting, developing, and empowering adult lay leaders.
Develop a calendar for the year by the 31st of December of the previous year that enables the volunteers to know when they will be needed and plan accordingly.
Develop or find a curriculum that enables the volunteers to serve.
Oversee safety and security systems for youth in partnership with Business Operations (e.g. background checks, safety, and security procedures, etc.) and provide regular security training for all volunteers.
Develop, and manage the budget and expenses.
Be willing to do special projects or tasks with a ‘get it done’ mindset on our team.
Administrative
Staff Meetings and Chapel: Attend and actively participate in weekly Tuesday staff meetings and Thursday Chapel.
Qualifications
Education: College degree or professional experience equivalent
Experience: 5+ years of leading ministry teams
Volunteer recruiting: Track record of recruiting and developing volunteer teams both spiritually and functionally
Spiritual Character: A commitment to the mission of the church and a respectful, helpful attitude toward staff and congregants
Please note this job requires working Sundays.
