A progressive Democratic campaign for Montgomery County Council District 1 is seeking a motivated and highly organized Field Director or Senior Field Organizer to lead our direct voter contact program through the June 23, 2026 Democratic Primary.
This is a competitive, well‑supported campaign focused on strong community engagement and disciplined voter outreach. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing volunteers while executing an aggressive field plan.
Key Responsibilities Field Program Execution
Implement the campaign’s voter contact strategy, including door‑to‑door canvassing, phone banking, and text outreach
Cut turf, manage walk lists, and maintain strong data practices in VAN/VoteBuilder
Track weekly metrics and adjust tactics to meet voter contact goals
Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers
Lead canvass launches and phone banks
Operations & Coordination
Prepare staging locations and materials for field activities
Ensure accurate and timely data entry
Get Out The Vote (GOTV)
Assist in planning and executing early vote and Election Day turnout operations
Preferred Qualifications
Prior campaign field experience strongly preferred
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Strong communication skills and comfort leading volunteers
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as campaign activity requires
Positive attitude and solutions‑oriented mindset
Candidates who have served as senior organizers, regional organizers, or deputy field directors are encouraged to apply.
Compensation $20 per hour, depending on experience
Full‑time preferred, though strong candidates seeking 30+ hours per week will be considered.
Start Date As soon as possible
Position runs through the June 23, 2026 Democratic Primary, with the potential to extend through the General Election.
