Description North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) is looking for a Technical Instructional Designer (Tech ID) to join the Central Ops Learning team to help develop and build innovative and scalable learning products for Associate process path training. In this role, you will think big, invent and simplify, and deliver results for Tier 1 Amazon Associates across all North America.

Location & Travel The ability to travel up to once per quarter, as needed, is required. This role requires work out of an Amazon corporate office or Fulfillment Center, so location is flexible as Amazon has offices across most parts of the country.

Key job responsibilities

Conduct needs analyses to understand customer learning needs, document workflow processes, and identify both foundational and in‑the‑flow‑of‑work learning moments of need.

Leverage API calls, JavaScript, Python, and other technologies to automate, streamline, and improve learning development and delivery.

Design and develop online learning experiences that align with learning outcomes, apply research‑based learning principles, and measure learning in online learning environments.

Use eLearning and GenAI authoring tools to build online learning experiences that include assessments, interactive activities, multimedia assets, and text‑based content.

Stay current on developments in learning science, learning design, and learning technologies.

About the Team North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Central Ops has the unique role of delivering process path training to millions of Amazon Associates, doing so in a way that lends to making Amazon the Earth’s Best Employer. Beyond ensuring that Associates know how to execute their responsibilities, process path training is pivotal in creating confidence, as well as psychological and physical safety. The team’s mission is to help each Associate be successful in their work by providing a world‑class process path learning experience.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field

5+ years of professional learning and development including needs analysis, instructional design, facilitation, program management, and measurement experience

5+ years of integration, testing and automation experience

Familiarity and experience with leveraging AI tools to streamline and improve work processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Project management certification such as PMP, Scrum, or other Agile certification

Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content‑specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, etc.).

Benefits and Compensation The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
