We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to analyze, test, and optimize digital experiences that improve conversion rates across the customer journey, addressing the needs of both current and prospective customers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to design, execute, and analyze experimentation programs primarily focused on email, SMS push, in app messaging, and mobile app experiences with a possibility to expand to website and landing pages to help shape and drive Katapult’s conversion and growth optimization strategy. This role is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of A/B testing, funnel analysis, and performance optimization initiatives in support of Katapult’s direct-to-consumer marketing objectives.
The CRO Specialist will be responsible for the setup, execution, analysis, and reporting of experiments and optimization initiatives across key conversion touchpoints. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, from hypothesis development and test design to delivery and insight sharing.
Responsibilities
As our Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, you will:
- Identify and prioritize conversion optimization opportunities across the customer funnel, primarily focused on activation and engagement of customers through all platforms.
- Develop data-driven hypotheses and testing plans informed by customer behavior, analytics insights, and business goals.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketers to optimize emails, SMS, app push, in-app experiences, and conversion flows.
- Design, implement, and manage A/B and multivariate tests across email, web, SMS, and mobile app experiences.
- Review and QA all test variants to ensure they are optimized, user-friendly, mobile-friendly, error-free, consistently branded, and render correctly across devices.
- Support strategic optimization initiatives within the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, conversion, and post-purchase flows.
- Create and analyze audience segments and cohorts to understand performance differences and drive conversion lifts against KPI goals.
- Manage experimentation tools, test documentation, and reporting within platforms such as Insider, HubSpot, or dedicated CRO tools.
- Maintain a CRO testing roadmap in Asana and experiment backlog, balancing quick wins with longer-term optimization initiatives.
- Leverage customer data, including web and app behavior, to personalize experiences and improve conversion efficiency.
- Plan and conduct A/B tests, manage the testing calendar, record results, and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Tests may include page layouts, messaging, CTAs, user flows, timing, and feature variations.
- Continuously track and analyze results, translating insights into scalable optimization recommendations.
- Ensures all experimentation, data usage, and program assets adhere to CAN-SPAM, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable privacy best practices.
Requirements
We are excited to hear about your background, and we hope it includes:
- At least 2 years of full-time experience in conversion rate optimization, experimentation, or growth marketing
- Hands-on experience running A/B and multivariate tests using experimentation or marketing platforms (e.g., Insider, HubSpot, Braze, VWO or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting funnel metrics, test results, and behavioral data
- Experience optimizing landing pages, emails, SMS, push messages, and/or in-app experiences for improved conversion performance
- Proven ability to turn data insights into clear hypotheses and actionable recommendations
- Positive, constructive, highly organized, and proactive work style
- Desire and ability to work remotely, and a proven track record of successfully and effectively working remotely
- Professional, honest, and committed to supporting and growing an amazing and supportive internal company culture
- Clear and concise communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate test results to cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency using cloud-based software – Microsoft Office, Slack, Asana, Zoom, Contentful, Confluence, etc.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Insider, Braze, Klavio, Iterable, HubSpot, or similiar
- Experience with CRO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or FullStory
- Strong understanding of A/B testing methodology, statistical significance, and experimentation best practices
