
The client is seeking an experienced Director of Development Operations to lead and innovate fundraising systems and processes. Reporting to the Vice President for Development, this role will manage a team of five, overseeing operations like annual giving, donor analytics, prospect research, CRM administration, and data strategy.
A key responsibility is advancing the integration of AI and automation within fundraising operations. The director will be tasked with setting performance metrics, modernizing the CRM ecosystem, and ensuring the fundraising infrastructure is data-driven and donor-centered. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, high-performing culture, providing training and development to staff and overseeing project management and process improvements.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, the director will spearhead AI adoption and automation efforts, optimizing the CRM and supporting technologies to streamline the fundraising process and extract actionable insights. This includes partnering with Data Services/IT on data governance and system enhancements. The role will also focus on managing best practices in fundraising operations, developing key performance indicators, and presenting analytical reports to leadership and stakeholders.
The director will drive the strategy and execution of the annual giving program, aiming for consistent year-over-year growth, and collaborating with marketing and development communications to create integrated donor engagement strategies. The candidate should have 7-10+ years of fundraising experience, including leadership roles, with expertise in CRM systems like Salesforce and data analytics.
They should have a proven track record of successfully integrating AI and technology into fundraising operations, coupled with strengths in annual giving, donor stewardship, and prospect research. Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills are crucial, along with a strong commitment to the clients mission of advancing individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace. Preferred qualifications include Salesforce power-user credentials and experience in digital fundraising and mid-level giving.
