The Document Mailroom Specialist I processes documents accurately and promptly to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, as well as Federal and State regulations. This includes intake of borrower documents, document analysis, accurate data input and updates into the loan system of record, and mailing and emailing documentation. What You Will Do:

Completes a limited scope of daily tasks regarding HMDA and TRID functions. Completes various HMDA functions, including review of file notes, credit score, DTI, borrowers age, Property Geocodes, Canceled loans, Test Loans and HMDA Action Take and Date, and ensures loans are compliant with ECOA requirements. Uploads loan documents into applicable areas within Octane, the Loan Origination System. Retrieves, intakes, parses, and scans loan documents as well as emails and mails required documentation. Reviews system triggered disclosure actions and ensures necessary actions are taken to satisfy all local, federal and state regulatory requirements. Effectively manages multiple daily demands and competing priorities. Maintains a working knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics. Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly internally specified goals and requirements are met. Meets deadlines and quality standards. Assists Loan Officers, Cardinal personnel, and coworkers with inquiries that apply to specific workflow. Mails documents via USPS and FedEx Responsible for printer maintenance and helps to keep the office area cleaned and stocked as needed. May assist in special projects as assigned. Other duties as needed or assigned by the Document Manager What You Need:

High school diploma or GED. Mortgage or banking experience preferred. Familiarity with the mortgage process and mortgage documents. Ability to adapt well to change. Exceptional computer skills. Demonstrate responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, problem solving, organization, and time management skills. Interpersonal skills are essential. Detail oriented and ability to multitask. Ability to take direction and comprehend training. Ability to work closely within a team structure with a great attitude. Self directed and motivated. Working knowledge of Google Docs. The expected base salary for this position ranges from thirty three thousand dollars to fifty two thousand dollars, determined based on the applicant's experience, skillset, education, training, certificates, and licenses.
