Job Summary
The SCRA Specialist will be responsible for reviewing any potential active military customers that have been identified indirectly through calls placed/received, Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) portfolio scrub, State and/or Federal active military orders received and/or direct customer requests for SCRA protection. The SCRA Specialist will be responsible to work closely and follow the direct guidance of the Compliance and Legal teams to qualify and process the protection of customers for active military protection in compliance with all internal policy, procedure, State and Federal requirements. The SCRA Specialist is responsible to handle SCRA customer calls, issue customer correspondence, monitor the potential and actual SCRA protected accounts as well as audit all approvals, denials and correspondence in accordance with SCRA regulations, federal/state guidelines, as well as policy and procedure. Job Duties
Handle and process assigned volume within SCRA processes for appropriate handling within established SLAs and quality requirements Service potential and protected SCRA customer calls within established call handling requirements and guidelines Complete end to end SCRA functions with accuracy and in compliance with SCRA regulations, policy and procedure Assist other departments and processes across the organization, as needed Other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Four (4) years of related experience in servicing, call center, auto finance and/or customer service. Experience in SCRA regulations and processes preferred. Knowledge of SCRA process, regulations, requirements and structure preferred. General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Established verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
