About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its national conservation organization. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of a transformative moment, with the opportunity to sharpen the organization's strategic direction, deepen its impact, and guide it into a new era of visibility and influence. This role is pivotal in partnering with local chapters, strengthening member engagement, and expanding the organization's reach to new audiences. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall mission, programs, operations, and finances, and must be a mission-driven, entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in collaboration, common-sense conservation, and a proven track record in fundraising. Experience in managing a member-based organization, particularly in the conservation sector, is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include overseeing all aspects of the organization's operation, representing and advancing conservation policy, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a documented history of skilled leadership, management, and fundraising success, and be adept at working with a diverse range of stakeholders. While not mandatory, a degree in natural resources, natural sciences, or wildlife management is desirable. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work with the Board of Directors, and a commitment to the organization's grassroots, community-driven approach to conservation.
