The role requires a strong commitment to equity-based, community-led approaches, and the ability to manage budgets, grants, and financial systems in a mission-driven context. The Executive Director will be responsible for guiding the organization's strategy, ensuring program accessibility and quality, and maintaining a culture of equity, trust, and continuous learning.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include organizational leadership, financial and operational stewardship, and fostering external relationships. The ideal candidate will have a leadership style that is collaborative, and transparent, and is adept at supporting and developing diverse teams. They will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Community Advocacy Council to ensure that the organization's programs and resources align with the needs and strengths of the communities served. The role also involves leading fundraising efforts, maintaining strong relationships with funders and partners, and advocating for community-identified priorities. The Executive Director will be a trusted representative of the organization, with a focus on strengthening relationships and addressing inequities across the community.
