Job Description Optimize and generate clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail layout drawings based on architectural and engineering plans for the fabrication of roof/floor trusses and components. Knowledge of MiTek software required.
Requirements
Must have 5+ years of designing trusses with MiTek industry software.
Broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals, wood truss roof and floor design and building materials.
Design optimized projects with or without MiTek design software.
Basic CAD knowledge.
Specify beams, connecting hardware and other related products.
Request sealed engineering drawings and/or repair details and follow up.
Strong visualization skills and ability to picture complex conditions in wood structures from plans and specifications.
Effectively communicate with architects, engineers, customers, and fellow team members.

Designing roof and floor trusses in engineering software.
Other design support related tasks.
Qualifications
Word Processing System proficiency.
Design Software proficiency.
Internet, Database Software proficiency.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information one‑on‑one.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
