Director of Sales & Marketing
to lead outreach, sales strategy, and brand presence for our independent living, assisted living, and memory care community. Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans to achieve and maintain occupancy goals.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and lead data to drive strategic decisions.
Manage the sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting using CRM software.
Drive Outreach & Community Engagement
Build, strengthen, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehab centers, churches, senior centers, and other community partners.
Represent the community at networking events, health fairs, expos, and professional organizations.
Plan and oversee community events, open houses, and outreach initiatives that generate awareness and qualified leads.
Guide Families Through the Journey
Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective residents and families, offering compassionate guidance and clear communication.
Oversee tours, follow-ups, and move-in coordination to ensure a seamless, welcoming experience.
Ensure ethical, transparent sales practices aligned with senior living regulations and company values.
Lead & Inspire the Sales Team
Recruit, train, coach, and motivate sales and outreach team members.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on service and results.
Partner closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to align sales goals with operational excellence.
Be a Community Culture Ambassador
Represent the mission, values, and resident-centered lifestyle of Gurnee Place Memory Care to the public.
Maintain a strong internal presence, staying connected to residents, families, and team members.
Champion exceptional customer service at every stage of the sales process.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred—or equivalent experience.
3–5+ years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy or revenue goals.
Experience leading or mentoring sales teams strongly preferred.
Skills & Strengths
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Welcome Home or similar CRM software a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Professional Traits
Compassionate, confident, and results-oriented.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and community outreach.
Committed to professionalism and representing the community with pride.
