Join our dynamic team as a User Experience Director! As a key leader, you will drive the creation and execution of innovative print and digital materials while ensuring that all projects meet business requirements effectively. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the development, design, translation, review, and testing of program materials. Managing project planning, staffing, budgeting, and schedules to deliver high-quality outcomes. Coaching project teams, tracking assignments, and ensuring successful task completion. Reviewing project deliverables for compliance with acceptance criteria and contract obligations. Communicating risks, issues, and mitigation plans accurately and promptly. Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, meeting notes, status reports, and financial records. Building strong relationships and trust with clients, stakeholders, and departments to drive collaboration. Influencing adherence to policies, procedures, and project practices. Job-Specific Responsibilities: Conceiving and executing designs across various digital channels, transforming complex government policies into user-friendly experiences. Providing thought leadership and collaborating with teams to enhance user experience direction. Leading the creation of deliverables such as information architectures, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, personas, user journeys, and service blueprints. Partnering with product managers and designers to prioritize problem-solving in user experience design. Making strategic decisions on design features and functionalities. Managing relationships with external partners, freelancers, and vendors as needed. Supporting business development through project estimation and staffing plans. Aligning experience design with content strategy and platform capabilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Championing the adoption of emerging UX trends and best practices to enhance design standards. Utilizing insights and analytics to inform user-centered design decisions. Facilitating client discussions and workshops, coaching teams with methodologies rooted in design thinking, lean, and agile for effective problem-solving. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 10-12 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 2 years managing a professional-level team. Proficient in Microsoft Project. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: 10 years of experience in designing interactive experiences through complete development cycles. 5 years in a client-facing role within an agency or consultancy. Expert proficiency with modern design tools and collaboration platforms. This is a hybrid role based in Princeton, NJ. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from the office and work on-site regularly. Preferred Qualifications: Track record of building inclusive, high-performing creative teams. Experience in regulated sectors such as government, healthcare, or finance. Advanced degree in user experience, information design, or related fields. Familiarity with modern UI design patterns, including AI/chat/voice interfaces. EEO Statement:
