Part-Time Field Sales Representative – Commercial Landscaping
U.S. Lawns of Denver, Denver, Colorado, United States, 80285
U.S. Lawns of Denver is a locally-owned commercial landscaping and snow management company serving the Denver metro area. We partner with property managers and commercial property owners to keep their properties looking professional, safe, and well maintained year-round.
We are growing — and we’re looking for someone who enjoys being out in the field, meeting people, and opening doors.
Position Overview This is a
part-time, field-based business development role
focused on generating new commercial landscaping opportunities and business.
You will spend your time visiting commercial properties (apartments, retail centers, office buildings, industrial parks, senior living communities, etc.), introducing our services, identifying decision-makers, and creating qualified proposal opportunities.
The owner handles pricing and proposal development — your role is to create the opportunity, confirm customer interest in a free estimate proposal appointment, and bring the respective findings and details back. Once proposals are built, depending on the specific opportunity or the relationship, leading and/or attending proposal delivery meetings to close sales, as appropriate.
What You’ll Do
Visit targeted commercial properties across assigned Denver-area ZIP codes, focusing primarily in the Arvada, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, and Golden areas
Introduce U.S. Lawns of Denver to property managers and business owners
Identify decision-makers and gather contact information
Learn about current landscaping providers and contract renewal timing
Identify “pain points” and service gaps
Collect property details and photos for proposal development
Log daily activity and submit weekly reports
Help coordinate proposal meetings and light follow-up
This is primarily face-to-face, in-person prospecting, with some phone and/or email.
What Success Looks Like
40–60 property visits per week
5+ qualified proposal opportunities or close meetings generated per week
We value activity, consistency, and professionalism.
Who This Role Is Great For
Someone who enjoys being out and about, not stuck at a desk
A natural relationship builder
Confident walking into businesses cold
Organized and self-motivated
Comfortable with rejection
Looking for part-time income with performance upside
B2B sales experience, and especially landscaping is helpful but not required. We provide structure and support.
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Performance-based commission on closed contracts
Part-time: approximately 15–25 hours per week. Flexible scheduling within business hours.
This role has potential to grow into a full-time sales leadership position as the company expands. At the beginning, the assumed plan is for a ~3 month part-time pilot.
Requirements
Reliable transportation
Professional appearance and communication
Quick learner, to be able to speak confidently about our company and services
Ability to work independently
Basic comfort with email, spreadsheets, and reporting
Physical Requirements This role involves driving, walking properties, standing for periods of time, and occasional light lifting (under 20 lbs.).
Why Join Us? You’ll be joining a growing, locally owned business where your effort directly impacts results.
