Technical Writer OBJECTIVE The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating documentation including but not limited to in-house Engineering documents, procedural manufacturing manuals, technical reports, bulletins, and specification sheets, etc. This position will work closely with multiple departments throughout the company to create high quality communication material for the Completion Tools division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and analyze multiple sources of data to create needed technical documentation and literature
Develop technical Completion Tools content such as brochures, instruction manuals, manufacturing process documentation, bulletins, sales/marketing presentations, etc.
Assist Engineering Department with data analysis and interpretation
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Operations, etc. to gather and evaluate needed data and information
Gather and organize technical information for users throughout the company on shared databases
Assist Engineering and other departments as necessary with research related to industry trends
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar Technical Writing role required
Expert level proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Experience with 3D modeling software inventor preferred
Demonstrated ability to write clear, effective, and high-quality technical material from beginning to end
Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Previous experience working in oilfield services or similar industry preferred
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and information
