The Edward Jones Generations® team provides an end‑to‑end, HNW client experience by partnering with our branch teams to provide ongoing client services—including holistic financial planning, tax and estate planning services via trusted 3rd parties, plan implementation via expanding sets of Edward Jones products and services, and ongoing reporting and support. Senior Estate Strategists leverage the extensive resources of our home office and external 3rd‑party partnerships to serve HNW with complex needs. What You Will Do

Serve as a subject‑matter expert for complex cases requiring deep technical knowledge and extensive estate‑planning expertise. Demonstrate ability to understand how upcoming changes in legislation and the regulatory environment may impact high‑net‑worth estate/legacy planning and proposed client strategies. Support the implementation of estate‑planning strategies and recommendations. Communicate at an appropriate technical level with financial advisors, the High Net Worth team, and clients to understand client needs, aid in documenting client goals, articulate estate‑planning strategies and recommendations, identify expertise needed to help the client achieve their goals, and build relationships with clients and financial advisors. Act as a conduit to third‑party estate‑planning and legal advice service providers to implement estate‑planning strategies for clients. Set expectations with the estate‑planning/legal service provider, client, financial advisor, and High Net Worth team to deliver timely advice and customized client deliverables. Connect the client’s financial plan to their estate and legacy goals. Clearly articulate services to be rendered to the 3rd‑party service providers. Ensure that 3rd‑party advice aligns with EDJ advice and guidance. Facilitate the timely delivery and execution of estate‑planning advice between the third‑party service provider and the High Net Worth team. Lead or actively contribute to key strategic initiatives/projects within and across Wealth Management Advice & Solutions (WMAS) division supporting our High Net Worth strategy and team, in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, that enable the firm’s evolution to deliver ongoing financial planning and asset‑management services. Work in partnership with Edward Jones internal stakeholder groups (Edward Jones Trust Co, Compliance, Legal, Service, Operations, Home Office Portfolio Strategist, etc.) to ensure proper alignment and continued evolution in partnership with the HNW business segment and APPS strategies. Help shape and inform HNW client‑facing advice and guidance related to complex estate planning and provide input on future products and services needed to meet client needs. $245,100 Skills/Requirements What Experience You Need Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Law required Advanced degree (such as JD) required Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire Insurance license required within 6 months of hire CFP® preferred or obtained in accordance with firm policy Ability to travel up to 10% to target markets 11+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred Direct client service experience as a member of an HNW client‑facing professional team required Understanding of financial advisor and branch team support member(s) processes, including implementation of Core Wealth, Banking, and financial planning offerings Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client Proficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting results Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application Deep expertise in complex estate‑planning strategies—including but not limited to Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts, sales to Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Generational Skipping Tax Transfer (GSTT), generational gift planning, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, etc. Must be able to understand and explain these strategies as well as identify when a strategy is appropriate to discuss with a client and ensure alignment to their financial plan and goals. Must also be familiar with implementation of these strategies for high‑net‑worth clients Ability to review high‑net‑worth client estate‑planning documents (e.g., trusts, wills, power of attorney, medical/healthcare directives, gift/estate tax returns, prenuptial agreements, divorce decree, business agreements, etc.) and identify opportunities to implement strategies that better align to client goals related to estate and legacy planning Ability to understand and interpret how upcoming changes in legislation and regulatory environment may impact HNW estate/legacy planning and proposed client strategies.
