WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH The role sits within Nike’s Sports Marketing Football function, a fast‑moving, deeply connected team shaping Nike’s impact across German football. The position reports to the Director of Sports Marketing Football Players Germany and collaborates closely with German and EMEA SM teams, Brand Marketing, SM Legal, and cross‑functional partners.

The ideal candidate brings strong scouting instincts, proven negotiation capabilities, and the ability to manage a diverse athlete portfolio with clarity and decisiveness. They excel in complex stakeholder environments, operate with a balance of long‑term vision and day‑to‑day execution, and demonstrate analytical fluency to guide investment decisions. This person thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly, and builds trust‑based relationships with athletes, agents, clubs, and internal teams.

Requirements:

Experience in Sports Marketing, Talent Management, Scouting, or related fields

Expertise in German football ecosystems and athlete development pathways

Strong cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent in German and English

Willingness to travel 60–80% within Germany

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON You will drive Nike’s Football Players strategy in Germany, identifying and signing talent, managing key athlete relationships, and shaping the long‑term strength of Nike’s football portfolio. You will collaborate across functions to deliver exceptional service, negotiate strategic partnerships, and bring athlete insights to life within Nike’s innovation pipeline.

Key responsibilities:

You will work closely with the German and EMEA Sports Marketing teams to execute the regional Football Players strategy across North, East, and Southeast Germany

You will identify, assess, and sign both emerging and established football talent, strengthening Nike’s athlete portfolio

You will partner with SM Legal to lead and support complex contract negotiations with athletes and agents

You will manage the German football player portfolio, contributing to investment and divestment decisions

You will create and deliver tailored service and leverage plans to maximize partnership value and athlete impact

You will collaborate with Brand Marketing, Product, and cross‑functional partners to elevate football in key cities and fuel Nike’s growth

You will provide athlete‑driven insights to inform product innovation, performance enhancements, and style direction
