Job Overview The Director of Women’s Services has 24‑hour responsibility for personnel, nursing care and operations of the Women’s Center which primarily includes Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, and GYN services.
General Responsibilities
Planning, coordinating, operationalizing and evaluating program growth, fiscal responsibility of the program, and the quality and appropriateness of nursing care provided on the units
Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer in setting, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating safe, high quality, evidence‑based standards of care and practice
Participates on assigned hospital and medical committees
Leads patient experience for the unit/department
Promotes collaborative relationships among nursing services, other departments, the community, and medical staff
Collaborates with Senior Management team in developing strategies for department growth
Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 5-8 years of nursing leadership experience; Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in Women’s Services at a Manager level or above
Prior clinical experience in obstetrics or women’s health as an RN required
Current and active BLS; ACLS & NRP
Current RN license in the State of Florida
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
