
Job Title
This role is responsible for ensuring vehicle and real estate collateral documents are accurate, filed and released within policy guidelines, working with third party insurance providers to secure payments for collateral loss, providing support to members and the front-line staff for loan servicing. What Will Be Expected Of Me?
Reviews and processes lien documentation for vehicle and HELOC loans to ensure accurate filing, proper lien perfection, and protection of the Credit Union's interest in cases of bankruptcy or insurance claims. Verifies that loan documents, including all post-closing supporting materials, are accurately uploaded and maintained in SYNERGY. Process release of lien on titles and Deeds of Trust. Filing and terminating UCC statements with the State and related counties. Receives closed mortgage loan files from DMI and provides recorded Deeds of Trust through GoAnywhere to facilitate timely release of the liens. Manages the preparation and distribution of Indirect loan welcome packets and credit card disclosure notices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Assists members with total loss vehicle situations by coordinating with insurance companies, preparing Letters of Guarantee as requested, and processing GAP Warranty insurance submissions for members with remaining loan balances. Research and resolve vehicle title issues, providing feedback to internal departments on errors that prevent proper collateral securitization. Collaborate with members, dealers, and County DMV offices to correct rejected titles and ensure liens are accurately recorded in a timely manner, protecting WCU's security interest in the collateral. Provides a variety of support services for consumer loans including payoff request, due date changes, moving loans to new accounts and other member service requests. Responds to general inquiries in relation to loans such as titling, loan documents, Deeds of Trust and other research and miscellaneous information from members and front staff. Responsible for uploading and indexing essential documents into the organization's document management system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Responsible for the filing of paper tiles and acceptance of electronic titles. Provides notary services for official documents as needed. Other duties as assigned. Will I Have Direct Reports?
No Experience/Education:
Entry Level - 0-1 year experience in customer service. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required. Understanding of vehicle title and Deed of Trust documents and processing preferred. Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to titles and Deeds of Trust preferred. Skills And Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite or equivalent. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to Learn and demonstrate that learning on the job. Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Must maintain high-level of confidentiality. Accountable for basic short-term tasks and work is primarily routine and follows standard procedures. Uses basic judgement under close supervision or instruction. Understanding of procedures for basic technical, administrative, or operative tasks. What Is The Work Environment Like, And Are There Physical Requirements For This Role?
Hybrid: Typically, a dispersed, flexible team environment both on Westerra campus (2-3x/week) and remote. Employees must reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate prior to starting employment. Residency is required for payroll and state tax purposes. Mon-Fri: 8-5 PM Works primarily at a desk or storage room Ability to lift 25 pounds Salary
In addition to the starting hourly rate of $20-22, this role is also eligible for Westerra's self-funding reward plan.
