BMO Bank N.A. seeks Senior Specialist-IC Strategic Initiatives in Chicago, IL to assess business strategy in connection with the value of data at scale. Articulate information strategies that meet business objectives by establishing a vision and target state for organization, people, data, and technology. Design and apply various methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the lifecycle of all data assets to ensure protection, governance, and trusted consumption. Perform maturity assessments on data management capabilities, design related organization and operating models and advise on tools and roadmaps to implement them. Act as integration point for triaging business requests and managing demand for data support as part of a multi-year roadmap. Work with stakeholders to understand key business opportunities and translate those into a clear, actionable data strategy. Identify and recommend solutions to resolve issues in data policies, usage, quality, and metrics. Address data security risks and compliance requirements for an assigned portfolio. Work with cross-functional teams to synthesize ideas, prioritize efforts, and identify intelligent solutions for business leaders. Identify and introduce new data sources that range from standard market data to unstructured and alternative data.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Consultant, Business Analyst or related occupation utilizing data and analytics applications to develop and advance business strategies or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Consultant, Business Analyst or related occupation utilizing data and analytics applications to develop and advance business strategies. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Utilizing Informatica, Datameer, AWS Glue, PowerBI, Dataiku, AWS Sagemaker, Neo4j, and UIPath; Conducting data analytics (including ELT) and supporting data science and data management projects; and participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to implement use of data and analytics applications. Requires 5% international travel to Canada. Hybrid role - 4 days remote per week.

The salary for this specific position in Chicago, Illinois is $162,000.00/year.

$112,200.00 - $209,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
