About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of empowering BIPOC girls and young women from under-resourced communities. The successful candidate will be a strategic and relationship-driven leader, responsible for guiding the organization's overall direction, championing its mission, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally responsive programs. This role demands a dynamic professional with a deep commitment to social justice, youth empowerment, and the ability to think strategically while executing effectively. The Executive Director will be the chief advocate, storyteller, and fundraiser, with a focus on expanding and diversifying revenue to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' professional experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising. The role requires experience in financial management, operations, and a strong background in youth development and community-based programming. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and be proficient in nonprofit financial and productivity tools. Key responsibilities include leading a comprehensive fundraising strategy, mentoring and developing staff, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven workplace culture. The Executive Director will also be the primary ambassador for the organization, building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
