$195,000 + 50% Bonus + Equity
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all Laboratory Operations and metallurgical testing protocols across the enterprise. Directly manage QA Managers and indirect supervision of 15+ technicians and quality staff. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve AS9100D certification Perform exhaustive Gap Analysis between current certifications and required Aerospace standards. Maintain and manage all current certifications, ensuring the company remains in compliance with ISO 14001 and other mandates. Establish and formalize inspection training protocols for all production and quality personnel. Design and implement quality metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Oversee X-Ray and Metallurgical Lab operations to ensure technical precision in complex shapes and tight tolerances. Partner with the SVP of Operations and CFO to integrate quality standards into newly acquired companies Develop quality plans for new product launches, specifically focusing on the shift back to diesel platforms for major OEMs. Drive a culture of quality excellence within a foundry environment, bridging the gap between shop floor reality and technical requirements. Manage manufacturing requirements and ensure all specialized processes meet stringent industry standards. Conduct regular audits and quality reviews at satellite locations in Atlanta, GA and other regional sites. Collaborate with the Technical Director and peer leadership to ensure quality does not sacrifice throughput. Act as the primary point of contact for external quality auditors and high-value OEM customers during site visits. Desired Experience all deemed a plus not required
Minimum 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with X-Ray and Metallurgical Lab operations. Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing quality teams and multi-site operations. Metal Casting or Plastic Injection molding industry experience. AS9100D or similar standards. Experience within a Private Equity-backed "portfolio company" environment. Previous involvement in M&A integration or "Turn Around" scenarios.
