We are seeking an experienced Product Line Director to lead the strategic direction and execution of the US Retail Energy product line within our SaaS portfolio. This senior leadership role will be responsible for defining the vision, driving growth, and ensuring alignment between product strategy and company objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities, bringing a track record of successfully scaling product lines in a SaaS environment.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, the Product Line Director will serve as the primary owner of product line performance, working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and executive leadership to deliver exceptional value to customers and the business.

Strategic Leadership

Define and communicate the product line vision and long‑term strategy aligned with company goals and market opportunities

Set and track OKRs and KPIs for the product line, ensuring measurable progress toward business objectives

Prioritize investment and resource allocation across multiple products within the line based on strategic value and ROI

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify growth opportunities and validate strategic direction

Align product strategy with broader company objectives and revenue targets

Product Planning & Execution

Develop and maintain the product line roadmap, balancing innovation, technical debt, and customer needs

Create compelling business cases for new products, features, and initiatives, including financial modeling and risk assessment

Define and optimize product pricing strategies based on value delivery, market positioning, and competitive landscape

Make data‑driven decisions on feature prioritization, product investments, and resource trade‑offs

Drive product‑market fit and ensure successful product launches

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Manage relationships with executive stakeholders, providing strategic counsel and transparency into product performance

Deliver executive updates, quarterly business reviews, and strategic presentations to C‑suite and board members

Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure effective go‑to‑market execution and revenue achievement

Collaborate with Customer Success to drive adoption, retention, and expansion

Build strong relationships with Engineering leadership to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers responsible for individual products within the line

Foster a culture of customer‑centricity, data‑driven decision making, and continuous improvement

Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career growth for direct reports

Build organizational capabilities and processes that scale with business growth

Performance Management

Own P&L responsibility for the product line, including revenue targets, margin goals, and cost management

Monitor and analyze KPI dashboards, product metrics, and market trends to inform strategy adjustments

Establish and track key performance indicators including ARR, customer acquisition, retention, NRR, and product adoption metrics

Identify risks and opportunities, implementing corrective actions as needed

Key Deliverables

Product line vision document and strategic framework

Multi‑year product line roadmap with quarterly milestones

OKRs and KPIs with regular progress tracking and reporting

Business cases and investment proposals for new products and major features

Product pricing models and packaging strategies

KPI dashboards and monthly/quarterly strategic reports

Executive‑level presentations and board updates

Go‑to‑market plans in partnership with Marketing and Sales

Competitive analysis and market intelligence reports

8+ years of product management experience in SaaS or technology companies

8+ years of US retail energy experience with a focus on operations

3+ years of experience in a senior product leadership role (Director level or above)

Proven track record of defining and executing product strategy that drives significant business growth

Experience managing a product line with multiple products or a complex product portfolio

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to leverage data for decision‑making

Deep understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and pricing strategies

Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and boards

Experience building and leading high‑performing product teams

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree

Background in both B2B and product‑led growth environments

Technical background or engineering degree

Experience with enterprise SaaS products with ACVs of $XX,XXX+

Track record of successful product launches that achieved or exceeded revenue targets
