**Job Description:**We're seeking a Senior Director of Business Transformation & Operating Model Strategy. Reporting into the VP, Business Strategy, you'll join a team of talented and experienced consultants and marketers focused on helping Merkle clients accelerate their level of marketing maturity through data-driven, customer centric programs, people/processes and technology platforms. You will operate as an important member of our Transformation & Consulting team ensuring that the recommendations we deliver are based on our deep understanding of our client's strategic goals. You will build relationships to become a trusted advisor to the client and Merkle team. You will be analytical and creative in your thought process and can be nimble in your thinking about client problems. You will lead and sometimes support cross-functional teams spanning strategy, technology, data, and operations to deliver end-to-end client transformation. At Merkle “Strategy” means a key idea that is informed, executable and provides results. Those ideas need to be applicable to a variety of client scenarios and must cross any service that is necessary to achieve the client objective. As a Senior Director in the Transformation & Consulting Strategy team you must have demonstrated experience in organizational design, operating model development, process optimization, and leading large-scale transformation initiatives across multiple industry verticals. **You Will:*** Lead planning and delivery of strategic consulting engagements focused on target operating model design, organizational structure, cross-functional decision-making and governance, and operational transformation, often in coordination with other Merkle services and implementation teams* Lead strategic vision for cross-functional teams including technology implementation and PMO teams to deliver change management engagements with our clients* Drive operational transformation through current-state assessments, gap analysis, process optimization, capability blueprints, and implementation roadmaps that help phase and prioritize initiatives against strategic goals, effort, and value* Design governance structures that activate operational execution, clarify decision rights and accountability* Serve as a bridge between strategic vision and tactical execution workstreams* Lead organizational change initiatives including stakeholder mapping, messaging strategies, transition and adoption planning* Define and implement KPIs/OKRs to measure operational effectiveness, organizational maturity, and track transformation progress.* Facilitate and drive client meetings and discussions, define project objectives and engagement approach, lead discovery sessions, workshops, deliverable reviews, and manage overall day to day delivery efforts.* Develop trusted advisor relationships with client contacts and C-suite executives, guiding strategic decisions while managing day-to-day delivery excellence* Lead cross-functional delivery teams, mentoring junior team members while ensuring transformation projects are delivered on schedule with excellence.* Lead and support business development activities including identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities.* Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking.* Collaborate and drive relationships with internal Merkle teams (sales, account management, operations, technology, analytics etc.), and partner agencies to understand the feasibility of cross-practice area solutions, recommendations, and plans.**You Have:*** Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.* 15+ years of consulting experience in CX transformation, organizational transformation, process optimization and integrated strategy* 10+ years working in a top tier consulting firm and/or marketing agency.* Deep knowledge of end to end consulting approaches to solve client problems - from design, develop to execution of strategy.* Extensive experience with assessing and recommending optimal team and process structures to facilitate integrated program execution, including familiarity with operating model frameworks, shared services models, organizational design, and/or product and portfolio governance.* Understanding of marketing technologies to orchestrate and activate customer experience.* Experience in leading a team and delivering complex projects by providing actionable solutions. Agency account leadership and c-suite advisement preferred.* Provide thought leadership and deep knowledge of customer strategy to build overall customer experience and personalization.* Proven experience in developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients.* Hands-on skills using data and research to drive decisions. Some knowledge of data and analytics strategy.* Strong writing, presentation and client facing communication skills. Experience translating data analysis into actionable recommendations and presentations – proficiency in PowerPoint required.* Ability to leverage business experience / acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities.* Self-starter high intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, and persuasion skills.* Problem solving mindset and thrives in ambiguous and fast moving environments, and in informal, loosely structured and creative work environments.* Comfort and experience working within a highly matrixed organization in roles with a wide degree of latitude.* Average 20%-30% travel (contingent on comfort level of client)The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$190,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
