Along with developing program strategy and enhancements in collaboration with Senior Leaders. Contracting, Vendor Oversight, Data, operations, IT and Reporting and Leadership experience are preferred.**Monday - Friday regular business hours****This position is Remote with some vendor offsite meetings and team meetings.****Arizona Residency Required.**Your pay and benefits are important components of your journey at Banner Health. This position provides leadership to the organization’s operational units, including but not limited to Business Excellence, facility, vendor oversight, accreditation, mailroom, regulatory and policy oversight, as well as logistical coordination between affected operational units, workgroups, and teams. The position ensures the development of standards, systems, policies and procedures that align with established regulatory requirements and the organization’s strategic direction.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Develops and implements operational goals and objectives, providing leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of applicable programs and/or services. Identifies and recommends appropriate best practices to facilitate logistical solutions to enhance operations excellence, programs, and/or services. Develops appropriate tools to measure performance, assess accomplishments, and evaluate operations; analyzes related data, accreditation preparedness, prepares reports, and makes recommendations based on findings.

2. Manages quality assurance as well as targeted plans, goals, and activities in operational units, ensuring all established outcomes, contractual requirements and measures are achieved. This includes monitoring, trending and analyzing performance reports, recommending and implementing logistical and operational changes to improve and enhance inter-operational efficiency and customer service levels.

3. Develops, monitors and evaluates departmental equipment, space, and associated refurbishment needs for areas of responsibility. Monitors monthly variances to ensure budgetary goals are met.

4. Develops and implements standard operations and logistical guidelines and procedures, as well as team and individual performance targets, to improve effectiveness, efficiency and quality. Manages and operationalizes operational excellence activities.

5. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with business entities, centralized/corporate departments including security services, facilities management, ancillary support teams, and other areas to ensure maximization of interdepartmental and operational efforts. This includes participating on multi-disciplinary task forces and work groups to enhance all related functions.

6. Plays a key role in the design, implementation and administration of the technical application systems. This may include partnering with other centralized/corporate departments and facility/business entity leadership to ensure applications meet needs and customer expectations.

7. This position has direct accountability for the organization’s operational units including but not limited to Business Excellence, facility, vendor oversight, mailroom, accreditation preparedness, regulatory and policy oversight, as well as logistical coordination between affected operational units, workgroups, and teams. The position collaboratively interacts and partners with other system/centralized functions to ensure efficient operations. This entails working with all key constituents to ensure efficient operations. Customers include the plan administration provider community, employee members and their dependents, physician office staff, allied health professionals and related entities, departments and programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a general knowledge of business and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field or relevant experience equivalent to the educational requirements.

Proven experience supervising and/or leading a department staff as normally demonstrated through 5 to 7 years of leadership/management experience in a healthcare and/or business setting; experience in developing and implementing quality improvement plans to ensure efficient operations, as well as exceptional customer service; and, experience in understanding and interpreting state and federal regulations. Excellent communications, human relations, and organizational skills are required. A working knowledge of computers and software systems is required. Must be results oriented and able to independently supervise staff, multiple processes and activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Position requires proficiency in personal software applications, including word processing, generating spreadsheets, and creating graphics/presentations.
