The IRD Server Assistant plays a key role in supporting our In‑Room Dining operation by serving as the primary point of contact for guest orders, menu inquiries, and general resort questions. This role ensures accuracy, warmth, and seamless communication throughout the guest experience. This position is responsible for answering IRD phone lines, entering orders into the POS system, and supporting the IRD team with operational tasks such as tray setup, retrieving used equipment, and maintaining cleanliness throughout guest corridors and villa areas. The IRD Order Taker is often the first and last impression of the IRD experience and has the opportunity to directly impact guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
Answer IRD phone lines and communicate with guests regarding food and beverage orders, menu questions, and general resort inquiries
Accurately enter orders into the POS system (Micros, Toast, Shiji, or similar)
Assist with IRD operational duties, including:
Setting up trays with beverages, condiments, flatware, and accessories
Walking guest floors/landings to retrieve used trays and equipment
Driving a resort cart through villa areas to collect trays and equipment
Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service at all times
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Support the IRD team as needed to ensure smooth operations
Schedule
On‑Call
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are a plus
Experience with POS systems preferred
Previous phone‑based customer service experience
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
Able to lift, push, and pull at least 20 lbs
Highly motivated; works well both independently and as part of a team
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
