
Remote - 8-12 Week Medical Record Data Entry Specialist

Job Description
Project team to support data migration as the team transitions from NextGen to EPIC EMR. Receive raw data file of patient data (all EHR information) from the team's history of patients and enter that into EPIC, starting with April appointments and moving onward. Index roughly 20 records per hour. Immediate focus is on April to July appointments – 6,700 patients scheduled, each averaging 8‑10 medical records. Each patient needs to have all data transferred to EPIC prior to their appointment. Review any orders for specialty procedures from NextGen data and select the right place in EPIC to house the records. Follow a very specific EPIC format to ensure orders pull correctly in the new system. High attention to detail and basic knowledge of what a complete order looks like are required to know what information needs to be extracted and entered into EPIC. First two days will be EPIC training to obtain certification and access. Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of healthcare industry experience – basic knowledge of medical terminology, what an EMR is, and why the data matter. Minimum 1 year of data entry experience. Proven ability to work fully remote with strong attendance and performance (validate with recent professional reference). Experience with medical records indexing in EPIC. Job Type & Location
