
Our client, a kid's apparel manufacturer, is looking for a Senior Technical Designer to join their Boy's team who is enthusiastic about 3D and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
Lead the full technical development lifecycle, from initial design hand-off through pre-production and final approval
Update and guide development of tech packs to be sent to factories and overseas vendors
Work cross-functionally with design, development and production to maintain quality and fit
Leverage PLM tools to manage workflows, vendor communication, and sample tracking
Support digital product creation initiatives, including 3D patterning and virtual sampling using tools such as Browzwear
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for global manufacturing partners, resolving development challenges, supporting junior team members, and ensuring milestones are met
Review pattern checks and fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy
Manage fittings and take fit notes
Follow up with vendors on grading or construction corrections
Ensure accuracy of tech packs alongside the production team
Qualifications
8+ years of Technical Design experience with knowledge kids apparel
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering or equivalent
Expertise in Children’s and Baby clothing, including fit, grading, and product integrity and safety
Experience with PLM platforms and 3D design tools
Strong attention to detail
Organizational skills
Proficient in Excel
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Photoshop.
