
Sales Specialist - New Pool Construction

The Sales Specialist is fully accountable for sales performance, revenue forecasting, gross margin protection, and sales team execution for a high‑end commercial and residential pool construction company serving the Naples and Southwest Florida market.
This role is designed to operate independently. The Sales Specialist owns the entire sales function—from lead management and pricing discipline to contract execution and clean handoff to operations.
Primary Objectives
Deliver predictable monthly and quarterly revenue
Maintain company gross margin targets
Build and manage a high-performing sales team
Key Responsibilities Revenue & Forecasting
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Maintain a rolling 90‑day and 6‑month sales forecast
Ensure sufficient pipeline coverage to support revenue goals
Report weekly on revenue, pipeline health, close rates, and margins
Sales Process Ownership
Establish, document, and enforce standardized sales procedures
Oversee lead response standards, qualification criteria, and follow‑up protocols
Ensure proposals, pricing, and contracts meet company standards
Maintain consistency across all customer‑facing sales interactions
Review and approve all deals prior to contract execution
Ensure projects meet or exceed minimum margin thresholds
Approve pricing within established authority limits
Escalate only true exception cases to ownership
Validate all selections, scope details, and exclusions prior to signing
CRM, Metrics & Reporting
Enforce 100% CRM usage and data accuracy
Track and report key performance indicators, including:
Lead response time
Close rate
Gross margin
Days from lead to contract
Sales‑caused change orders
Provide concise, actionable reporting to ownership
Sales‑to‑Operations Handoff
Own and approve the sales‑to‑operations handoff process
Ensure all contracts include complete scopes, selections, timelines, and expectations
Confirm deposit collection and documentation accuracy
Prevent downstream issues caused by incomplete or unclear sales information
Authority & Decision‑Making The Sales Specialist has authority to:
Price projects within approved margin parameters
Approve discounts above minimum margin thresholds
Assign leads and manage territories
Enforce compliance with all sales policies and procedures
Owner approval is required only for margin exceptions or non‑standard contractual terms.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Metric/Target Monthly Revenue/As established annually
Close Rate/45–50%
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of sales leadership experience (construction, home services, or luxury sales preferred)
Proven success managing high‑ticket sales teams
Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, and long sales cycles
Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions
Base Salary:
$24,000 per year
Commission:
2% of total team gross profit (tied to revenue, margin, and execution)
