Joining Avant Specialty Benefits as a Bilingual Benefits Specialist presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. Essential Responsibilities Process employee benefit enrollments according to client agreements with Avant.

Provide phone-based support for enrollments, new hire onboarding, qualifying life events, eligibility, and general inquiries.

Serve as a Service Advocate for clients and internal account teams.

Contribute to developing and improving processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Maintain detailed product knowledge, documentation, and underwriting guidelines for each case.

Navigate and capture elections across various benefits administration systems.

Ensure data accuracy and uphold quality assurance standards.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate information flow.

Participate in enrollment trainings and document case-specific details for team use.

Support internal teams, clients, and brokers with special projects and ongoing operational needs.

Qualifications Working proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.

High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required.

1-2 years of HR, Employee Benefits and/or customer service experience required. Knowledge of and experience with benefit plans and administration a plus. Telephonic customer service experience is a plus.

Benefits Knowledge, Principles, & Practice: Invests in the development of insurance benefits knowledge, including changing and emerging industry trends, and applies relevant principles and practices throughout daily responsibilities.

Problem Solving: Ability to efficiently identify problem(s), leverage resources to determine root cause(s) and propose and implement solutions or make improvements.

Workflow & Systems Knowledge: Actively contributes to defined workflows, including related processes, procedures, and deliverables, and utilizing resources to deliver a world class client experience and adhering to compliance requirements.
