Senior Claim Examiner I Job Location: Alpharetta, GA

Overview At AmTrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, we need a Senior Claims Examiner - WC.

The adjuster is responsible for prompt and efficient examination, investigation, settlement or declination of workers’ compensation insurance claims through effective research, negotiation, and interaction with insures and claimants, ensuring that company resources are utilized in a cost-effective manner. The adjuster reports to a WC Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly investigate workers’ compensation claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives. Determine the validity of claims under applicable workers’ compensation statutes and develop appropriate treatment plans with medical providers.

Review and analyze medical bills to confirm charges and treatment are workers’ comp injury-related and in accordance with the treatment plan.

Ensure payments for medical bills and income replacement are remitted on a timely basis in accordance with applicable fee schedules and statutes.

Answer questions regarding the status of pending claims from claimants, policyholders, and medical providers.

Consult with attorneys regarding litigation management, settlement strategy, and claim resolution.

Qualifications

5+ years experience as a Workers Comp adjuster.

Experience handling claims in the jurisdiction of GA, AL, or KT.

MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Effective negotiation skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this role is $88,000-$105,000 annual. Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
