Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and cold‑calling potential customers, as well as following up on leads generated through various channels. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing excellent customer service and support to ensure satisfaction and retention. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our fluid power solutions, effectively communicating value propositions to potential clients. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, customer service, and technical support, to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure seamless delivery of products and services. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and documentation using CRM software to track progress and performance metrics. Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our company's brand and products, as well as to expand professional networks. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required. We are looking for smart people, and sometimes you don’t need a piece of paper to prove it. Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the fluid power or industrial equipment industry. Strong technical aptitude with a good understanding of fluid power systems, components, and applications. This would relate to industrial hydraulics, knowledge of fluid power calculations, specifying components and sizing systems. Good knowledge of proportional valves, cylinders, motors, variable displacement pumps, ISO codes, and feedback devices. Fluid power experience a must. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers at all levels. Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented, with a passion for driving results and achieving sales objectives. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with a high degree of organizational and multitasking skills. Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory and occasionally outside the region as required. Location
This position is based in Eastern Louisiana, with regular travel required within the designated sales territory.
