The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Rural Health Transformation Program.
The Community Engagement Regional Liaison facilitates communication and coordination between the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and regional health care partners across Montana. The position represents RHTP in local and regional forums, supports implementation of program activities within assigned geographic areas, and works with hospitals, clinics, and community organizations to identify challenges and solutions. The Liaison monitors progress toward regional goals, supports data collection and reporting, and ensures alignment of regional implementation with statewide objectives and CMS requirements. During the first two years, the role emphasizes stakeholder onboarding and outreach to rural and frontier partners; subsequent years focus on feedback loops, continuous improvement, and sustainability planning.

Knowledge of rural health systems and community service networks.
Skilled in meeting coordination, project tracking and problem-solving.
Bachelor’s degree in public health, community development, social sciences, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-3 years of experience in community engagement, program coordination, or health system outreach.
Experience working with rural or frontier communities preferred.
